SCHEDULE:

Most of the valleys can be enjoyed in a half day trip and combined with a trip to other destinations in the area.

DESCRIPTION:

Tucked away among the mountains of Dhofar a refreshing sight awaits the visitor. The valleys of the region are often lush with vegetation. Dhofar Experience tour guides can also lead you to hidden natural springs rumoured in folklore to have healing properties. Dhofar's valleys are not what one would expect in a desert country.

PRICE INCLUDES:

Travel from Salalah, drinking water, coffee, tea and local snacks.

A picnic lunch is included with a full day trip.

DON'T FORGET:

Valley greenery can attract creepy crawlies, so do remember the insect repellent.

OUR TIPS:

Dirbat Valley (known locally as Wadi Dirbat) is conveniently close to the Khor Rori/Samhuram ruins, Taqa Fort and en route to the fishing town of Mirbat. It can be crowded at weekends, so consider going during the week or early in the morning. Boat trips, when available, are highly recommended -ask your guide to negotiate a fair price.
