DHOFAR EXPERIENCE: TOURS AND TRAVEL
SCHEDULE:
Dhofar's mountains stretch across a vast area, and can be reached in as little as half an hour's drive from Salalah. More remote mountain areas can demand a longer and more challenging journey.
DESCRIPTION:
The mountains of Dhofar spread far and wide, and give their name to the local Jebbali (mountain) tribes. Mountain areas around the city of Salalah and beyond remain in their natural condition, teeming with endemic plant and animal species.
PRICE INCLUDES:
Travel from Salalah, drinking water, tea, coffee and local snacks. Full day trips also include lunch.
DON'T FORGET:
Prepare for bright sunlight and changeable weather in mountain areas. Insect repellent is also a good idea.
OUR TIPS:
If you are interested in hiking, we can help you find a suitable location and route. Photographers will enjoy the best light around sunrise and sunset. Trips can be scheduled at these times, or to include overnight camping.
